SE11 ABAP Dictionary
After the addition of Java Stack (the applications developed in J2EE, BSP, JSP, etc), the security standard for business processes was increased. Both ABAP and Java stack can be monitored from one platform. Database layer: All of a company's data is stored in the database, which is located on a database server. Application programs pull the data they need from the database. This data can consist of data tables, applications or system control tables. In addition, the database also takes new information from users and backs it up.
Some missing SAP basic functions in the standard are supplied by the PC application "Shortcut for SAP Systems".
The database layer manages all the data of the SAP system in a database located on the database server and administered by a database management system (DBMS).
