Optimization of SAP licenses by analyzing the activities of your SAP users
What to do when the auditor comes - Part 1: Processes and documentation
The direct consequences are overauthorized users, a lack of overview and dangerous security gaps. In order to get the system back on track in the long term, a redesign is usually the most efficient solution. Depending on the requirements and project framework, we also rely on proven software solutions from our partners.
Identify the user master record in the Active Directory associated with the user ID that you are creating in the SU01 transaction. To do this, search within the Active Directory for a user master set for which the user ID you are looking for is entered as the SAP user name. Next, fill in the transaction SU01 fields with the data from the Active Directory User Set.
User Interface Client Permissions
We now want to describe the necessary settings in the sending application using the example of encrypted sending of initial passwords. To implement this requirement, you can use the BAdI BADI_IDENTITY_UPDATE. This BAdI is also only available via a support package starting from SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.31. For details on the relevant support packages, see SAP Note 1750161. To implement the BAdIs, use the transaction SE18; there you can also see the example class CL_EXM_IM_IDENTITY_UPDATE. For the BAdI BADI_ IDENTITY_UPDATE, you must implement the SAVE method to the IF_BADI_IDENTITY_UPDATE interface.
There is a special feature for roles if the corresponding SAP system is based on S/4HANA. While under SAP ERP only roles with authorizations for the GUI system were relevant, corresponding business roles are required for the applications under FIORI. In addition to the roles in which authorization objects and authorization values are entered, so-called business roles are also required.
Assigning a role for a limited period of time is done in seconds with "Shortcut for SAP systems" and allows you to quickly continue your go-live.
The general SAP authorizations are used most often and for many things they are sufficient.
Explicit values must be entered depending on the tables that you have selected for permission.
