Make mass changes in the table log
Certain permissions that are not relevant until a job step is run are checked at the time of scheduling for the specified step user. This checks whether the selected user is authorised to run the specified ABAP programme or external command. For programmes associated with a permission group, the S_PROGRAM object is checked. External commands test for the object S_LOG_COM.

The security policy was introduced with the SAP NetWeaver 7.31 release; for their use you need at least this release. Security policies thus replace the definition of password rules, password changes, and login restrictions via profile parameters. The security policy is assigned to the user in transaction SU01 on the Logon Data tab. Profile parameter settings remain relevant for user master records that have not been assigned a security policy. Some of the profile parameters are also not included in the security policy and therefore still need to be set system-wide. Security policy always includes all security policy attributes and their suggestion values. Of course, you can always adjust the proposed values according to your requirements. You define security policy about the SECPOL transaction. Select the attributes for which you want to maintain your own values and enter the values accordingly. The Descendable Entries button displays the attributes that are not different from the global entries.
Even if key users (department users/application support) do not have to develop their own authorization objects and cooperation with SAP Basis is always advantageous, there are often technical questions such as "Which users have authorization to evaluate a specific cost center or internal order?
Since the introduction of the security policy in SAP NetWeaver 7.31, this report has changed. In older releases, instead of the security policy overview, a profile parameter selection page is offered in the report's startup screen. If you select Show Profile Parameters in this selection view, you will see an overview of the Profile Parameters settings in the upper half of the screen. Here you should pay particular attention to the setting of the parameter login/no_ automatic_user_sapstar and check its setting even after the switch to the security policy.

The requirements in the third example to filter the Post Journal Display (transaction FAGLL03) can be implemented using the BAdIs FAGL_ITEMS_CH_DATA. Depending on the permissions granted, certain items or documents should be excluded from display. You can see the definition of BAdIs through the SE18 transaction, and in the SE19 transaction you create an implementation of the BAdIs in the Customer Name Room.

For the assignment of existing roles, regular authorization workflows require a certain minimum of turnaround time, and not every approver is available at every go-live. With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you have options to assign urgently needed authorizations anyway and to additionally secure your go-live.

All navigation options in the form of external services are defined in the customising of the CRM business role in the form of a generic outbound plug mapping to the navigation bar.

Very often the question then arises, does anything have to be prepared for the audit? As a rule, all of the company's own notes from previous years should be retrieved and combed through for information that was noted at the time during the discussions with the IT auditor.
