Use SAP_NEW correctly
Features of the SAP authorization concept
Transaction SU53 can be used to immediately display the missing authorizations for a single SAP user. This is advantageous when individual background processing or activities are not executed correctly and the cause is suspected to be missing authorizations. In this way, the cause of the error can be narrowed down more quickly.

You can customise the AIS cockpit to your needs. To do this, use the customising that you will also find in the transaction SAIS under the button Administration of the audit environment. Select Configure Audit Cockpit and you can define a default audit structure, the maximum line length for log entries, and the number of log entries per audit step.
Criticality
Typically, this includes permissions that can be used to delete change records in the system or electronically erase them. The traceability of changes is also important in the development system, which is why the authorizations listed below should only be assigned very restrictively or only to emergency users.

The SAP authorization default values are the basis for role creation and are also the starting point for SAP authorization management. For this purpose, the SU22 SAP authorization default values must be transported via SU25 into the customer-specific SU24 tables. The consistency of the default values should therefore be checked beforehand using the SU2X_CHECK_CONSISTENCY report. If inconsistencies exist, they can be corrected using the report SU24_AUTO_REPAIR. Detailed information regarding the procedure can be found in SAP Note 1539556. In this way, you can not only clean up your SU24 values, but at the same time achieve a high-performance starting position for role and authorization administration.

For the assignment of existing roles, regular authorization workflows require a certain minimum of turnaround time, and not every approver is available at every go-live. With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you have options to assign urgently needed authorizations anyway and to additionally secure your go-live.

If you want to run these jobs under another step user, you can change them either with the transaction SM37 or with the report BTC_MASS_JOB_CHANGE.

At www.sap-corner.de you will also find a lot of useful information on the subject of SAP authorizations.

These include the overarching goal, the legal framework, a naming convention, clarification of responsibilities and process flows for both user and authorization management, and the addition of special authorizations.
