Together for success
Minimise modifications and customisation
"By continuing to expand the support programme through SAP ONE Support, we can reduce complexity and provide the flexibility and simplicity of SAP Cloud that is tailored to the individual needs of our customers," explains Gerhard Oswald, member of the Board of Management of SAP AG and Head of the Scale, Quality & Support Executive Board. "It will now be easier for our customers to combine applications and services in the public cloud with managed services in the private cloud and on-premise technology on demand." SAP ONE Support provides a single point of access regardless of deployment method or SAP solution, and enables seamless support across all business process scenarios. A unified communication channel for the entire solution landscape will simplify customer communication with SAP. This includes the "Call 1 SAP" freephone number, which will be available in the second quarter of 2014.
Our Application Management Centre is located at ORBIS headquarters in Saarbrücken: We have made this decision deliberately. At ORBIS headquarters in Saarbrücken, our ORBIS Service Agents have the opportunity to interact with the consultants and developers of the implementation projects without detours and thus directly access know-how on customer-specific settings and programmes. Further branches of our AMS Centre are located in the USA (Washington) and China (Shanghai), so we can offer our SAP customers comprehensive service.
Building the foundation for your smart business
The opportunities offered to us and our customers by these new technologies are still in their infancy. We expect a lot to happen in this area in the next few years. We're already showing where the journey is with our Built-in Support today. Support is integrated into the product via SAP CoPilot. Artificial intelligence ensures that the customer can talk to the system - keyword Conversational AI. In the background, the Digital Support Assistant uses the system context and other data to provide quick answers to technical customer questions. In the future, some questions will not even be asked, because the customer in the application already gets the necessary support and hints through his digital assistant to avoid possible problems. For SAP S4/HANA Cloud applications, we have been offering build-in support since this year's SAPPHIRE and are now expanding the range of services. We have already identified a number of scenarios where artificial intelligence can add significant value. Incident Solution Matching, a machine learning-based search for solutions, is already in operation within SAP and will soon be available to customers.
To sum up, we can say that both support services naturally overlap from time to time. Often, SAP Support team members are looking for an application management services solution to resolve an acute problem so that a similar problem can no longer occur in the future.
"Shortcut for SAP Systems" is a PC application that simplifies or even enables many SAP support activities.
It is usually managed with a mix of flexible on-site resources and remote support, depending on your budget and requirements.
Here you simply have too many interfaces, transfer points, etc. An SAP-ITSM integration can help.
